Shoot me an email:

I pretty much need a crash course on how to manipulate the prongs to do certain things.

Thanks!

I'll be at work all day tomorrow. I have tweaked a few bases but they just don't seem that good, and the bases don't run the same the next day. I picked up a pair of parallel pliers from a jewelry shop and so far they are the best for smashing the prongs. I guess my main question deals with all the prongs look to be the same angle and length, so it should run straight, right? Nope, they either veer left or right. Also my board has a huge dead zone in the middle of it, know how to remedy this? I would rather not spend several hundred dollars on a new table if I can get this one working. It's a Tudor 500 with the red endzones.

Send me an email either way, I can reply to them while I'm at work.

Thanks,

CrazyP

Thanks!

Thanks Norbert. Yeah either PM or email me, I can check both at work. I wouldn't mind chatting on the phone though when we both have a free day. Sunday looks to be my next free day, and hopefully by then I will have my new orange convention bases and spare dials. I am thinking about trying some of this round dials in the DDB bases. But anyways, guess I will chat with you after work!

Thanks again Norbert!

P.S. When are we gonna see more youtube videos?

New bases.

Just got a set of orange rookie and TTC bases, 12 each, and the extra dials. The TTC's have super thin prongs, never realized this before haha. To me they are seeming a tish difficult to get moving at all. Mr. Revels, we should set up a time for a phone call if you are still willing, for I would be greatly appreciated to learn what you know.

And so it begins

But it will never end again.

I have that feeling consuming me once more, (passion) and I love it,.....earlier I stood in the doorway of my strickly EF room (just smiling),.....it was great to tweak bases from 11 this morning to 10:30 tonight.

For coaches who want a good look at tweaked prongs

In this vid,.......there are some closeups of prongs tweaked for speed and power.

You can slide the player back as far as it will go on the base or cleats. The balance needs to shift backwards to help the player stay upright. The other thing you could try would be to bend/brush the rear prongs backward.

This will do two things - First, it will make the player lean a little backwards helping out the balance. Second, it will slow down the player ever so slightly which will help the player from tipping forward.

You can also weight the player using some putty or sticking a dime underneath. The added weight will do wonders.

I just got one of those Excalibur boards for my 27th birthday this past weekend, and the players and bases are smaller than the those available on Tudor's webpage.

Does anyone know how I can tweak the Excalibur bases?

CONVENTION BASES... Is there a particular color you believe out performs the other colors or do you chose to match your teams with same color bases? ? directed to NORBERT. OR any ones opinion is welcome. I have tried the Black Maroon and Silver ones so far. maroon being the best so far overall.
